The legendry Yoruba movie star, Charles Olumo popularly known as “Agbako” recently celebrated his 84yrs birthday in Lagos. The party which took place at blue roof lagos television was massively honored by the array of personalities such as movie stars, music stars, Broadcasters, Royal fathers and Traditionalists. Myyorubamovie.com caught up with the celebrant where this exclusive interview was conducted.

Charles Olumo: You are welcome my children. I am very happy too.
Myyorubamovie.com: Baba at 84yrs, how are you feeling?
Charles Olumo : I’m extremely happy. This happiness couldn’t be exchanged
with anything and it cannot be compared with any happenings.
Myyorubamovie.com : As a veteran in the movie industry who has spent decades, what is the secret behind your healthy life?
Charles Olumo : God is my strength. I never indulge myself in any rituals or any ungodly activities. It was God that gave me a good healthy life.
Myyorubamovie.com: Sir the name “Agbako” how did you get it?
Charles Olumo: The name is a character given to me in a movie. It is just to teach the audience a moral lessons. I am not a bad person has I have being laced. The Agbako in films is not the real Charles Olumo. This is to let people know that as we have bad people, we equally have good people around.
Myyorubamovie.com : Whenever your name is mentioned, what came into your mind of many is your fabricated grammar you speak in movies.
Charles Olumo : I used the grammar to entertain my fans. And it took extra
miles to compose such grammar. Drama involves deep research and that is what I do to make my acting skills different.
Myyorubamovie.com : You were once seen at Synagogue. What happened sir?
Charles Olumo: Prophet TB Joshua is a real man of God. God has used him in helping the less privileges. He helped me. The money he gave me, I bought a brand new car and I started completing my house.
Myyorubamovie.com : Can you compare the movies of today and that of your days?
Charles Olumo: There is a big different. In our days, there was no money, we only worked for passion and famous. But today, huge money are paid.
Myyorubamovie.com: There is this rumor connected you to Pasuma wonder. What is the relationship between you and the Fuji star.
Charles Olumo: There is a relationship between me and Pasuma wonder. Firstly his mother was a learner in my drammer school, and she is my wife. So, Alabi Pasuma wonder is my son. If they call him my son, he is my son. Who does not like success? And would see good things and would not claim it. Everybody is my children and you yourself interviewing me now.
Myyorubamoivie.com : What are you expecting from Government?
Charles Olumo: Government should help me. I don’t need anything short of that.
