It was meant to be a quiet marriage ceremony at the registry but turned out to be a glamorous day when Sola Kosoko, daughter of veteran cross-over actor, Prince Jide Kosoko signed the dotted lines with his lover Abiodun Abiona.
Celebrities from the Yoruba movie industry turned out en masse to add glamour and colour to the event. Some of them include Idowu Philips (Iya Rainbow), Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Ireti Osayemi, Aisha Abimbola (Omoge Campus), Doris Simeon and Mercy Aigbe.
Sources close to the couple revealed that an elaborate church wedding ceremony is being planned for a future date.
Within a short time, Sola Kosoko who took after her father has continued to experience a steady rise in career and has one of the faces to reckon with in the industry.
According to Prince Jide Kosoko who is a leader of Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP), the date of the forth-coming wedding will be made public very soon.
His words, “She is my jewel of joy. I love her so much for her understanding. Apart from taking after me in my career, she is a daughter of note whom I am very proud of.”
Meanwhile, the Kosokos will be honoured by City People Magazine at a colourful ceremony in Lagos that would hold next month.
